The first jet to be marketed is the ARJ21<\/a> developed by China Aviation Industry Corporation I<\/a>, which will be followed by the C919<\/a>, which made its maiden flight in 2017[5]<\/a> and has attracted interest from Chinese airlines.[6]<\/a> The C919, which can seat up to 168 passengers, is meant to compete in the market for single-aisle jets.
